FAQ
01 What is the difference between stainless steel and EG steel cutting? +
Stainless steel (304/316) offers excellent corrosion resistance, making it suitable for outdoor, marine, or food-grade applications. Electro-galvanized steel (EG) has a zinc coating that provides basic corrosion protection at a lower cost, making it ideal for indoor applications. Stainless steel is harder to cut but provides a superior surface finish.
02 What grades of stainless steel do you use? +
We primarily work with 304 grade (most common, good corrosion resistance) and 316 grade (marine-grade, excellent corrosion resistance). 304 is suitable for most indoor and outdoor applications, while 316 is recommended for coastal areas, food processing, or chemical environments.
03 What is cold bending and when should I use it? +
Cold bending uses a press brake to form metal at room temperature, preserving material properties and surface finish. You should use cold bending when you need precise angles without discolouration, for painted or coated metals, or when material integrity is critical. For most applications, it is faster and more cost-effective than hot forming.
04 How does laser welding compare to traditional welding? +
Laser welding produces narrower, cleaner weld seams with less heat input, reducing distortion and post-processing requirements. It is ideal for thin materials and joints where appearance matters. Traditional TIG/MIG welding is better suited for thicker materials and structural applications where aesthetics are less important.
05 What finish options are available for metal painting? +
We offer powder coating (durable, thick, ideal for outdoor use), wet spray painting (smooth finish, wider colour selection), and special effects such as textured, metallic, or anti-graffiti coatings. All RAL colours are available, and custom colour matching is supported. Proper surface pre-treatment ensures long-lasting adhesion.
06 What is CNC laser letter bending? +
CNC laser letter bending is an automated process that precisely bends metal strips to form 3D channel letters for signage. The laser scores at exact positions, and then the CNC machine bends to precise angles. This produces consistent letter profiles and is especially suited for large signage projects requiring many identical letters.
