What materials are available for 3D lettering?
We offer 3D letters in acrylic (solid colour, UV printed, crystal), stainless steel (flat, box-up, gold, black, brushed), aluminium (box-up, powder-coated), and PVC foam. Each material suits different budgets and applications.
What is the difference between flat and box-up letters?
Flat letters are single-layer cut-outs mounted flush or on standoffs. Box-up (channel) letters are hollow 3D letters with visible depth — typically 30–100mm. Box-up letters have a more premium, dimensional look and can be backlit with LED.
Can 3D letters be used outdoors?
Yes. Stainless steel and aluminium letters are fully weather-resistant for outdoor use. UV-coated acrylic letters can also be used outdoors but are best suited for sheltered positions. PVC letters are for indoor use only.
What sizes are available for 3D letters?
We make letters from 50mm tall up to 1500mm tall. For extra-large signs on building facades, we can quote on a project basis. Common shopfront letter heights are 150mm to 400mm.
How are 3D letters installed?
Flat letters use double-sided tape or screw-through mounting. Stud-mounted letters use threaded rods drilled into the wall (we provide a drilling template). Box-up letters are typically screwed directly to the fascia or wall surface.
Can you add LED lighting to 3D letters?
Yes. We offer halo-backlit LED letters (light glows behind the letter against the wall) and front-lit LED letters (for box-up channel letters). LED options require power supply access during installation.
