1. Agreement to Terms

By placing an order with UMAKE MANUFACTURING SDN BHD ("UMAKE", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These terms apply to all orders for signage, acrylic products, metal fabrication, and printing services provided by UMAKE.

2. Quotations and Orders

2.1 Quotations

  • All quotations are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated
  • Prices are subject to change based on material costs and specifications
  • Quotations are based on information provided by the customer; changes may affect pricing

2.2 Order Confirmation

  • Orders are confirmed upon receipt of deposit payment (typically 50%)
  • A written confirmation (email or WhatsApp) serves as your order agreement
  • Custom orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Payment Structure

  • Deposit: 50% upon order confirmation
  • Balance: 50% before delivery or upon collection
  • For orders above RM 10,000, payment terms may be negotiated

3.2 Accepted Payment Methods

  • Bank Transfer (Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank)
  • Cash (for collection at our factory)
  • Credit Card (via payment link)
  • e-Wallets (Touch 'n Go, GrabPay, Boost)

3.3 Late Payment

Outstanding balances beyond 30 days may incur a late payment fee of 1.5% per month. We reserve the right to withhold delivery until full payment is received.

4. Production and Delivery

4.1 Production Timeline

  • Standard orders: 3-7 working days
  • Complex/large orders: 7-14 working days
  • Rush orders: Subject to availability and additional fees

Production begins only after design approval and deposit payment. Timeline starts from the date of final artwork approval.

4.2 Delivery

  • Delivery within Klang Valley: Charges based on location and order size
  • Outstation delivery: Additional logistics charges apply
  • Self-collection available at our Balakong factory (free of charge)

4.3 Delays

While we strive to meet all deadlines, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances (material shortages, equipment issues, etc.). We will notify you promptly of any delays.

5. Design and Artwork

5.1 Customer-Provided Artwork

  • Artwork must be provided in vector format (AI, EPS, PDF) for best quality
  • High-resolution images (300 DPI minimum) for print jobs
  • Customer is responsible for ensuring artwork accuracy and copyright compliance

5.2 Design Services

  • Basic layout adjustments are included in the order price
  • Custom design services are charged separately
  • Up to 2 revisions included; additional revisions may incur fees

5.3 Artwork Approval

A digital proof will be provided for approval before production. Once approved, any errors in the approved artwork are the customer's responsibility.

6. Product Specifications

6.1 Colors

While we strive for color accuracy, slight variations may occur due to:

  • Monitor/screen calibration differences
  • Material properties (acrylic, metal, vinyl)
  • Lighting conditions

6.2 Dimensions

Custom products are manufactured to specified dimensions with a tolerance of ±2mm for acrylic and ±3mm for metal products.

7. Warranty and Returns

7.1 Product Warranty

  • Acrylic products: 6 months warranty against manufacturing defects
  • LED signage: 1 year warranty on electrical components
  • Metal fabrication: 6 months warranty against manufacturing defects
  • Printed materials: No warranty (quality checked before delivery)

7.2 Warranty Exclusions

Warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from improper installation or handling
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from weather, accidents, or misuse
  • Modifications made by the customer or third parties

7.3 Returns Policy

Due to the custom nature of our products, we do not accept returns for change of mind. Returns are only accepted for:

  • Manufacturing defects reported within 7 days of delivery
  • Incorrect items delivered (must notify within 3 days)

8. Installation Services

  • Installation services are available at additional cost
  • Customer must ensure site is ready and accessible for installation
  • Any permits or permissions required for installation are the customer's responsibility
  • We are not liable for damage to existing structures during installation unless caused by negligence

9. Intellectual Property

  • Customer retains ownership of their provided designs and logos
  • UMAKE may photograph completed projects for portfolio purposes (unless customer objects in writing)
  • Customer warrants that all provided artwork does not infringe third-party copyrights

10. Limitation of Liability

UMAKE's liability for any claim arising from our products or services shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific order in question.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, business interruption, or damage to reputation.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or supply chain disruptions.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
