Description

Keep your building safe and exit-ready with UMAKE's glow-in-the-dark emergency exit sign. The sign is printed on premium PVC coated with a photoluminescent (glow) layer that charges from normal room or daylight and then glows for hours in total darkness — exactly when you need it most: a fire, a blackout, or thick smoke that cuts the power. Unlike an electric LED EXIT box, a photoluminescent sign needs no wiring, no electricity and no battery, so it never fails during an outage and costs nothing to run. The bilingual KELUAR / EXIT layout is the format people in Malaysia recognise instantly, making it suitable for offices, shoplots, factories, warehouses, schools, surau, clinics and homestays. Choose your arrow direction to point toward the nearest escape route, and pick either a peel-and-stick sticker for smooth walls and doors or a sticker pre-mounted on a rigid board for a sturdier finish. Photoluminescent escape signage is commonly used to support the "means of escape" signage expected under Malaysia's Uniform Building By-Laws (UBBL) and BOMBA fire-safety practice. Manufactured factory-direct in Malaysia by UMAKE, with fast turnaround and bulk pricing for whole-building fit-outs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a glow-in-the-dark exit sign work?

It is printed with photoluminescent material that absorbs ambient light (room lighting or daylight) and then re-emits it as a glow in darkness. After a full charge it stays visible for several hours, guiding people to the exit during a power outage, fire or smoke-filled emergency.

Why choose a glow sign instead of an electric LED EXIT light?

An LED EXIT box needs mains power or a backup battery — the two things most likely to fail in a real emergency. A photoluminescent sign needs no electricity, no wiring and no maintenance, works the instant the power dies, and costs nothing to run. Many buildings use both: LED for normal visibility and glow signs as a fail-safe at low level.

How long does it glow and how long to charge?

It charges from normal indoor lighting in roughly 15–30 minutes and continues to glow for several hours in complete darkness, with brightness slowly fading over time. As long as the room gets light during the day, the sign stays charged and ready.

Is it suitable for Malaysian fire-safety (BOMBA / UBBL) requirements?

Bilingual KELUAR / EXIT photoluminescent signage is widely used to support the means-of-escape signage expected under the Uniform Building By-Laws (UBBL) and BOMBA practice in Malaysia. Requirements vary by building type and local authority, so we recommend confirming exact placement and specification with your fire consultant or local BOMBA office.

What is the difference between Sticker Only and Sticker + Board?

Sticker Only is a self-adhesive PVC decal you peel and stick directly onto a smooth wall, door or glass. Sticker + Board comes pre-mounted on a rigid board for a stronger, flatter, knock-resistant finish that is easier to screw-mount or hang.

Which arrow direction should I choose?

Pick the arrow that points toward the nearest escape route from where the sign is installed. We offer left, right, up, down and diagonal directions, plus a plain EXIT/KELUAR version for placement directly above an exit door.

Where should I install exit signs in my premises?

Typically above or beside exit doors, at corridor junctions, stairwells and at low level along escape routes where smoke is thinner. Mount them where they are visible from a distance and not blocked by furniture, doors or shelving.

Do you offer bulk pricing for a whole building?

Yes. Because we manufacture factory-direct in Malaysia, we offer volume pricing for offices, factories and multi-floor fit-outs. Message us on WhatsApp with your quantity and arrow directions for a quote.

What sizes are available?

Standard premise sizes are available, with custom dimensions on request. Tell us your wall space and viewing distance and we will recommend the right size.
